I have 6 years of experience developing software across various programming languages, database engines and operating systems. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the Costa Rican Institute of Technology, also referred to as ITCR or TEC. I consider myself a passionate of Front End development, having worked with React and Next.js for most part of my career. I always have an open mindset towards learning new technologies and fnding new ways to improve as a Developer and as a person.

In my role as a Senior Front End Software Developer at Edify, I have given support to different EdTech projects, this includes development of new features as well as maintenance of existing code bases, to testing, leading initiatives and start up projects and also working directly with product owners, designers and project managers to create the best possible solutions and designs to accomplish the organization's goals.

- Senior Front End Software Developer - Great Minds(1 Year): An application that provides instructional material and high-quality curriculums to create a knowledge-building experience for students and educators, including Eureka Math which is now the most widely used K–5 math program in the country. Worked as a Senior Front End Software Developer in this project that included technology stacks like React(17 and 18), Next.js, Node.js, Typescript, PostgreSQL, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Storybook, React Testing Library, Styled Components, React Hooks. etc. Worked as part of a development team in charge of giving support to the different applications inside Great Minds(Teacher, User and Admin experiences) as well as creating new features for the different applications and improving performance in terms of loading times and scalability.
- Senior Front End Software Developer - Littera(2 Years): An application that focuses on customizing high-impact tutoring for K-12 schools and districts by supporting any student, subject, schedule or staffng model. It's an application that provides a tutor management system to provide virtual/in person support to students to simplify operations and learning processes and track attendance. Worked as a Senior Front End Software Developer in this project that included Technology stacks like React, Next,js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, React Testing Library, React Hooks and Storybook(Frontend workshop for UI used for building components and pages in isolation to create reusable shared components to use throughout the app). This project included the role of Engineering Champion which basically meant owning an initiative(epic), going to start up meetings of the new feature, creating tickets, estimating tickets, leading the development, being in charge of deployment and fnally releasing the feature. Testing our code was also a big part of this project as at least 90% of new code added had to be covered with unit/integration tests.
- Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer - Surehand - Rock The Trades(2 years): An application for industrial employers to fnd the best-ft tradespeople. It functioned as a skills-frst hiring platform that instantly matched employers with workers best suited for the job based on the job requirements set by the employer and the skills/resume provided by the worker. Worked as a Full Stack Software Developer in this project that included Technology stacks like Node.js, Express.js, ElasticSearch, React, React Admin, React Native, MongoDB and Firebase.
IntegraTEC Program 2015-02-10 — 2016-02-10
Program to help guide new entry students through their process of adaptation to the University and the Computer Engineering career, working as a Mentor for a group of selected students to solve any doubts or possible problems that may come up during their first year of college.
