Senior QA Analyst

I started as a Mid QA Analyst in NROC Team but later I completed my career path as a Senior. Responsible for QA and testing activities, be part of the main meetings with the team and customer, production support, working closely with the development team.

Highlights

  • NROC project: The main application of NROC is EdReady, which is the 'heart' of it. There are other applications such as NROC Portal, Event Tracker, Advance Reporting Tool, and Rewards all of which integrate with EdReady and take the information from it. EdReady is an adaptive Math and English learning platform that personalizes a student’s path to subject mastery. In my role as a QA Analyst, I have tested multiple development efforts to implement and maintain new and existing features. Participate of meetings to discuss how much effort a tasks take, discuss requirements, create a test plan to execute, create a new test cases, collect metrics related to quality. The project works with the Scrum Methodology and uses a Jira board for daily management. All project documentation is created and maintained in Confluence. Recurring deploys and creating new tags in Gitlab, troubleshooting skills in production tickets, checking cloudwatch logs and New Relic warnings. As EdReady is an existing application with recurrently improvements, updates, maintenance, and new features, I had the opportunity to execute Functional Testing, Non-Functional testing, Accessibility Testing, and run and check Data Base scripts to update or create data.
  • C&T 360: Internal project of Edify, new application to create and track a career development plan. Responsible for QA and testing activities (Documentation, Create TC, run tests).
  • Skill Trees: Internal project and part of the Knowledge Department of Edify. The users are anyone on Edify growing their knowledge of any particular skill. A Skilltree is a path to acquire a certain skill, the application embodies Edify's Growth value and is intended to support our learning path whatever that is for each of us in Edify. Responsible for QA and testing activities (Documentation, Create TC, run tests)
